Wonder Woman 1984 Pushed to August 14th Along with Other Warner Bros. Releases

Warner Bros. announced today that it’s pushing the forthcoming Wonder Woman 1984 from its original June 5th release date to August 14th where fans can view it on the big screen, not on-demand as previously rumored. With the coronavirus pandemic taking a toll on the world, it made the most sense to release it when things calm down.

“When we greenlit WW 1984 it was with every intention to be viewed on the big screen and are excited to announce that Warner Bros. Pictures will be bringing the film to theatres on August 14th. We hope the world will be in a safer and healthier place by then,” said Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group Chairman Toby Emmerich in a statement today.

With the move to August, Wonder Woman 1984 has bumped James Wan’s horror movie Malignant out of its original date to a not yet announced release date. In other moves and no new announced dates, In the Heights will move from June 26th and Scoob! will move from May 15th.

At the moment, Deadline also reported that Christopher Nolan’s Tenet will stay on July 17.

Looks like 2020 will be jam-packed with entertainment.
