New Line Cinema is developing a horror film version of The Wizard of Oz based on L. Frank Baum’s novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The 1939 original movie starring Judy Garland was based on the same novel.
This horror adaptation is written by Mike Van Waes and is set to take place within the Oz universe. No word yet on a release date and no producer has been named.
