Suspiria (Teaser Trailer)

Luca Guadagnino directed last year’s romance, Call Me By Your Name but the director is taking on a much darker project with his remake of Dario Argento’s Suspiria and now we have the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming horror film.

Though the central premise stays quite close to the original – as a hopeful young American dancer (Dakota Johnson), travels to Germany to learn ballet at a prestigious local school, only to slowly uncover a dark history of witchcraft and death – the teaser hints that things may take a very different direction.

That includes a far more gruesome, disturbing take on the horror elements; a key scene recently screened at Las Vegas’ CinemaCon left viewers speechless with some calling it “very gruesome”, “some of the most disturbing body horror” & “absolutely brutal.”

Tilda Swinton, Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, and Jessica Harper – star of the original 1977  film – also star. Suspiria will be released by Amazon Studios on November 2.
