Sam Neill, Laura Dern & Jeff Goldblum Reprising Jurassic Park Roles In Jurassic World 3

“Welcome to Jurassic Park.” That’s the iconic line that Dr. Hammond (Richard Attenborough) utters to Grant (Sam Neill), Ellie (Laura Dern) & Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) as they enter his park where dinosaurs once again roam the Earth and it looks like that trio is ready to head back to that world. It has been announced that Sam Neill, Laura Dern & Jeff Goldblum will be reprising their roles once again in Jurassic World 3.

Dern revealed her participation in the film, as well as Neill’s and Goldblum’s returns, at a fan screening last night of Battle at Big Rock, an eight-minute short film that Colin Trevorrow directed featuring dinosaurs running amuck after they’ve escaped to the real world. The last Jurassic World, directed by J.A. Bayona, ended with the revived beasts finding their way off the island and into civilization, so it might well be where the next installment of the film goes. Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World but only served as a producer on the next film, is returning to helm the third installment.

Neill, Dern & Goldblum will be joining Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard in the film that will likely wrap up this new trilogy of the Jurassic universe. Dern, Neill, and Goldblum all originated their roles in the 1993 blockbuster that started it all. Dern reprised her role as Dr. Ellie Sattler and Neill reprised his Dr. Alan Grant role in 2001’s Jurassic Park III. Goldblum reprised his role as Ian Malcolm in 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and again in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
