Reel TV Ratings: (Friday) – Hawaii Five-O Leads A Typical Friday Night

Friday night was business as usual for TV ratings with Hawaii Five-O leading the night.

CBS’ Hawaii Five-O led the night with a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 9.90 million total viewers, while Blue Bloods scored the second-highest spot in the demographic with a 1.0 demo rating and 9.88 million viewers. MacGyver rounded out the network’s night with a 0.9 demo rating and 7.86 million viewers, just one-tenth higher than the 0.8 that its last episode scored a few weeks back.

On ABC, the winter premiere of Agents of SHIELD managed to a 0.7 demo score and 2.48 million viewers for itself, which also saw the series ticking up one-tenth from its previous 0.6. Are these numbers good enough for the show on Friday nights? It’s a toss-up at this point but there are other factors determining the show’s fate. There is a lot of money to be made by the Marvel brand and since the network owns the show, it makes a profit from it.

On the CW, the winter premiere of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend scored a 0.2, demo rating and 700,000 viewers. The series was steady with its last episode.
