God Friended Me Goes Fractional In Week Two Without NFL Assist

It’s starting to look like God Friended Me may be in need of some prayers because the new series has already gone fractional in its second airing on Sunday.

On CBS, without the help of an NFL lead-in, God Friended Me went fractional in its second week with a 0.9 demo rating and 8.40 million viewers, predictably down four-tenths from its premiere. The freshman series did, however, perform better than both its 60 Minutes lead-in (0.8, 8.22 million viewers) and its NCIS: Los Angeles lead-out (0.8, 7.48 million viewers), the latter of which was down three-tenths from its premiere a week ago. Madam Secretary rounded out the night for CBS with its season 5 premiere scoring a 0.6 demo rating and 6.15 million viewers, two-tenths lower than its season 4 premiere last year, but even with its 2017-18 season average.

On FOX, NFL helped boost some of their line-up once again beginning with The Simpsons which matched the early 1.8 demo rating and 4.57 million viewers of its season premiere last week (which later adjusted down to a 1.4). Bob’s Burgers was similarly up from the 1.1 of its premiere with a 1.2 demo score and 3.09 million viewers this time around, while Family Guy was steady with another 1.2 demo rating and 2.79 million viewers. REL ticked down a tenth to a 0.7 demo rating and 1.92 million viewers to end the night.

On ABC, the Dancing with the Stars franchise continued to score low this fall, with the series premiere of Dancing with the Stars: Juniors posting a 0.7 demo rating and 4.98 million viewers. The premiere built just slightly from its America’s Funniest Home Videos lead-in (0.7, 4.71 million viewers). While the Shark Tank premiere registered a series low 0.6 in the demo and 3.05 million viewers.
