Although many found themselves disappointed with how Game of Thrones concluded, the music of the show was always something that was praised. Over the course of eight seasons, composer Ramin Djawadi brought to life the show’s emotional moments with incredible scores that led him to two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Music Composition For A Series.
With that being said, Djawadi is set to return and compose the score for House of the Dragon, the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series. In addition to Game of Thrones, Ramin Djawadi has also composed the scores for such series including Prison Break, Person of Interest, The Strain, Jack Ryan, and Westworld, and he’s also slated to compose the score for Marvel’s upcoming Eternals.
House of the Dragon, the series is set
“300 years before Game of Thrones based upon George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, a Targaryen history book which chronicles the history of House Targaryen, starting off with Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and [going on] to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold the throne, all the way up to the civil war, known as the Dance of the Dragons, that nearly tore their dynasty apart.”
