FOX premiered its new series, Proven Innocent, on Friday but it appears that no one really seemed to care.
On FOX, the rookie legal drama premiered with a low 0.5 rating in adults 18-49, making it the network’s lowest-rated premiere of the season so far. It also scored a not so great 3.09 million total viewers. It also suffered a considerable drop from its Last Man Standing lead-in, which aired back-to-back episodes and won the night’s primetime ratings with a 1.1 and 1.0 in the 18-49 demo and 6.12 and 5.63 million total viewers respectively.
On ABC, Fresh Off the Boat (0.7, 3.14 million viewers) returned from a week off, and matched its last episode, as did Speechless (0.5, 2.35 million viewers). Even though ABC’s new TGIG programming isn’t setting the ratings on fire, it has been remarkably consistent week to week which could benefit both shows for potential renewal.
On NBC, Blindspot (0.5, 2.92 million viewers) ticked down a tenth week-to-week, while The Blacklist (0.6, 3.59 million viewers) stayed steady for the network
On CBS, MacGyver returned with a 0.7 demo rating and 6.42 million viewers, down from its most recent episode’s 0.8. Blue Bloods (0.8, 8.87 million viewers), however, ticked back up one-tenth, and Hawaii Five-O held onto its previous 0.8 demo score and 7.27 million viewers.
