Welcome to today’s most important entertainment news: Peter Weber will by the next guy vying for female attention on the next season of The Bachelor.
Peter Weber, better known as “Pilot Pete”, was on the last season of The Bachelorette and actually made it quite the distance with Hannah Brown before being sent home. Weber placed third last season while trying to win her love and emerged a fan favorite. Weber was known for his charm but is probably best known for a windmill-themed incident in the Fantasy Suite where he and Brown allegedly had sex in the windmill four times during their overnight date. “Pilot Pete” just keeping it classy guys.
Weber, who is 28, beats out Mike Johnson for the coveted role, who would’ve made history as the franchises’s first black Bachelor if he was chosen. Johnson was strongly considered but producers were waiting to see how the summer and Bachelor in Paradise season (which featured Johnson) played out before naming their pick. In the franchises’s defense, Weber is half Cuban so there’s a hint of diversity there. Weber was announced as the next Bachelor during the Bachelor in Paradise finale.
