Reel TV Ratings: (Thursday) – Arrow Takes A Tumble After Crossover Bump

It’s normal for The CW Arrowverse lineup to take a slide after the hyped crossover episodes but Arrow dropped a surprising amount after hitting a season high during its special Monday night airing.

Arrow posted a 0.4 in the 18-49 demo and 1.33 million viewers for The CW, down half a point from its crossover episode last week and a tenth below its season average. The other Arrowverse shows either matched their season averages in the post crossover episodes or, in the case of Legends of Tomorrow, increased on its average by 0.1. Not sure why Arrow saw the slide but hopefully it rebounds when it returns from its winter hiatus. Supernatural followed with a 0.6 demo rating and 1.74 million viewers, even with last week’s numbers in the finals.

The Big Bang Theory scored a 2.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 14.25 million viewers, up 0.3 vs. last week. Young Sheldon rose a tenth of a point to a 2.2 demo rating and 12.46 million viewers for CBS. Mom (1.4, 8.82 million viewers) and Life in Pieces (1.1, 6.48 million viewers) were steady, and SWAT fell a tenth to a 0.9 demo score and 6.20 million viewers.

The season finale of The Orville drew a 0.9 demo rating and 3.54 million viewerrs for FOX, even with last week. Gotham was also steady at a 0.8 demo score and 2.56 million viewers for its winter finale.
