Oscar Isaac To Headline Metal Gear Solid Movie At Sony Pictures

Sony has had a Metal Gear Solid movie in development for quite a bit now & it looks like it’s finally gaining some traction. It has been announced that Oscar Isaac is attached to play Solid Snake in the Jordan Vogt-Roberts film.

The movie is based on the popular “Metal Gear Solid” video game created by Hideo Kojima and published by Konami. Derek Connolly is taking on script duties. Playstation first launched the game in 1987 and it follows Snake, a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from Foxhound, a renegade special forces unit.

When production will start is up in the air, especially since Oscar Isaac is a very busy man lately. He’s set to star in HBO’S Scenes From A Marriage opposite Jessica Chastain, followed by playing the title role in Marvel’s Moon Knight for Disney+. He’ll be seen next in the reboot of Dune & Paul Schrader’s The Card Counter. He’s not done yet…he’s also set to star in and produce the adaptation of Brian K. Vaughn’s comic The Great Machine & star in Barry Levinson’s Francis and The Godfather with Jake Gyllenhaal.
