The Killing Joke Rakes in Over 3 million During Screenings

While Batman: The Killing Joke only had a limited  run at the box office, the film was able to  take third place at the domestic box office, behind Star Trek Beyond ($6.3 million) and The Secret Life of Pets ($4.2 million). Despite a limited number of theaters playing the film , the R-rated, animated adaptation of Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s graphic novel earned over $3 million in its first night. Despite the two night run being over, fans of the film and those who were unable to make the sold out screenings will be able to own the film on Tuesday, August 2nd on Blu-Ray and DVD.
