Universal Pictures is rebooting their monsters. The first film in an expected slew of reboots is The Mummy starring Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis and Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as the ancient queen who according to the film’s synopsis, is awakened from her crypt beneath the desert, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia, and terrors that defy human comprehension. They are currently filming in London.
Sofia’s ancient queen is out for revenge after her destiny was unjustly taken away from her. She awakens in our current day and is ready to unleash her wrath. The shoot took place over the weekend in the City, notably near Bank tube station north of the river Thames.
