Midnight, Texas Returns Lower On Friday Night

Midnight, Texas moved from summer series in season one to moving to Friday night’s this fall but its premiere came in lower than its previous numbers.

On NBC, the season 2 premiere of Midnight, Texas grabbed a 0.4 demo rating and 1.94 million viewers, down five-tenths from its premiere last year and from its first season’s 0.7 average. The lower ratings are somewhat to be expected though – a result of NBC moving it from its Monday summer time slot last year to Friday nights this fall. NBC began the night with Blindspot which was steady with a 0.4 demo score and 2.53 million viewers.

On CBS, MacGyver (0.6, 5.86 million viewers), Hawaii Five-O (0.7, 6.87 million viewers), and Blue Bloods (0.7, 7.79 million viewers) all inched down a tenth on the network due to heavier competition from the World Series.

On The CW, Dynasty (0.2, 610,000 viewers) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (0.1, 420,000 viewers) held steady week to week.
