Michael Rooker Joins Fast & Furious 9

Michael Rooker has joined the cast of Fast & Furious 9. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor is a last-minute addition as production is currently underway.

Rooker will be playing the role of Buddy and not much else is known about the character beyond his name. Rooker joins Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson & Helen Mirren, who were all previously announced for the ninth installment.

Michael Rooker is a very busy many as of late. His 2020 slate is full of projects including Fantasy Island (February 28) and Monster Problems (March 6) on the theatrical front while on TV he has the Amazon pilot for The Dark Tower in the works. He recently co-starred on the third season of HBO’s True Detective.

Fast & Furious 9 hits screens on May 22, 2020.
