Netflix & Marvel have released the official trailer for Luke Cage, their third superhero TV series collaboration after Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Luke Cage, played by Mike Colter, was first seen in Jessica Jones and will share the continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and the earlier shows, all leading up to the Defenders crossover miniseries planned at Netflix for 2017.
Cage is a former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin. He uses his powers for good to fight crime. Previously seen in Hell’s Kitchen on Jessica Jones, Cage now moves up to Harlem to do some good, all while trying to evade the law. While there hasn’t been much of Luke Cage‘s plot revealed, fans do know that each episode will be named after a Gang Starr track.
Luke Cage premieres on Netflix on September 30th.
