In what may go down as one of the most diverse Oscars of all time. From Guillermo Del Toro’s touching speech to Francis Mcdormand’s empowering moment on stage, this years Oscars will be remembered for quite awhile. However, one of the biggest highlights off the stage was the moment Luke Skywalker met Wonder Woman.

To the surprise of many, Mark Hamill and Gal Gadot had never met until this Sunday’s ceremony. Hamill took it upon himself to offer an introduction and it was surely a moment that all cinephiles will smile over.

The meeting took place during the segment where host Kimmel took Gadot, Hamill, Armie Hammer, Guillermo del Toro,to a nearby theater that was offering an advanced screening of A Wrinkle in Time. The encounter was meant to show appreciation to audiences and fans for supporting the films, as the audience had chosen to see a film over watching the annual Academy Awards.
