Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron Has Been Delayed

One of the most anticipated Star Wars projects is taking a backseat for now.

It has been announced that Rogue Squadron, set to be directed by Wonder Woman’s Patty Jenkins, has been delayed.

The news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, and confirmed that the reason the change was made was based on Jenkins’ schedule and how other commitments would not allow that timeline to happen so the 2022 production start had to be nixed. The film has been taken off of the production schedule and hope is that once Jenkins fulfills her other commitments, she’ll be able to return to the project.

Rogue Squadron would’ve been the first theatrical Star Wars release since 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of SkywalkerRogue Squadron was originally dated for December 22, 2023
