Lucifer Season 5 Drops August 21st

The devil finally returns. After a fifteen-month hiatus, Netflix has set a date for the season 5 premiere of Lucifer.

The first eight episodes of season 5 will air Friday, August 21st. There’s no word yet on when the second half of the sixteen-episode season will drop. Either way, we’re still excited.

“In the stunning fifth season, the stakes are higher than ever,” reads an official teaser. “Secrets will be revealed, beloved characters will die, and we’ll finally get an answer to the question, ‘Will they or won’t they?’ between Lucifer and Detective Decker.”

In related good news, there is hope that the show will come back for a sixth season if it receives the order all in due part to Netflix’s recent signing of Tom Ellis for a new season following a months-long standoff between the two.

What do you think happens in season 5?
