After casting Naomi Watts as its female lead, the Game of Thrones prequel series has cast Josh Whitehouse as its male lead.
Whitehouse is a British actor who starred in Northern Soul and most recently wrapped the lead role in The Happy Worker. Whitehouse will be seen next in MGM’s musical retelling of Valley Girl, playing the lead role originated by Nicolas Cage.
The untitled GOT prequel takes place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones. It chronicles the world’s descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. Jane Goldman serves as showrunner & will executive produce with GOT creator George R.R. Martin. Details on the character that Whitehouse will be playing are being kept under wraps.
