Production of the sequel is set to begin in July & it’s the highly anticipated follow-up to the $17 million original which was critically well-received & made a killing at the box office. The film opened to $50.2 million & ultimately grossed $188 million domestically & $340 million worldwide.

It’s also being reported that a deal to bring back Emily Blunt has also been closed and she’ll be returning to star as well. Blunt recently won a Screen Actors Guild best-supporting-actress award for her turn in the film.

In Krasinski’s Instagram post, it’s also revealed that the sequel’s release date will be May 15, 2020.
