Paramount Pictures has set a date for moviegoers to go silent once again. The studio has scheduled the sequel to A Quiet Place for 2020.
The horror hit, which earned a sequel order mere weeks after opening to great critical and commercial success, will go wide on May 15, 2020. As of now the sequel is untitled and hasn’t secured a director.
It could be possible that John Krasinski, who starred in, co-wrote and directed the first film, could step back into the director’s chair for the sequel depending on his schedule. It’s being reported that he is tackling writing duties once again for the project.
A Quiet Place became a bit hit back in April when it grossed $332.6 million worldwide on a $17 million budget. $188 million of its worldwide gross came from its domestic run at the box office.
