Jason Bateman In Talks To Direct & Star In Clue Movie With Ryan Reynolds

Jason Bateman took home an Emmy for Best Directing in a Drama Series for his Netflix series Ozark on Sunday and it looks like he wants to keep that directing bug going because he’s in talks to direct Ryan Reynolds in Clue, the live-action feature adaptation of the Hasbro board game for Fox/Disney. Bateman also wants to join the film as a star alongside Reynolds but talks are still in the early stages.

Bateman plans on developing the script with Reynolds, who is also on as a producer on the film. After the success of two Deadpool movies, Reynolds made a three-year producing deal early last year with Fox and since the Disney/Fox merger happened, they’re in the mix too.

Bateman is set to direct two episodes during the upcoming third season of Ozark, which began shooting yesterday. If talks go as they should, the project will reunite Bateman and Reynolds after they appeared in The Change-Up back in 2011.
