Gal Gadot To Star In Potential Spy Franchise Heart Of Stone

Skydance Media has tapped Gal Gadot to lead a potential spy franchise that is said to be in the same mold as Mission: Impossible. Gadot will headline Heart of Stone, which gives her an eight-figure deal that puts her at the upper levels of the actress salary scale.

Tom Harper, the director behind The Aeronauts and Wild Rose, is in talks to helm the project with Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder taking on script duties. The film will be produced by Skydance Media’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger, along with Gadot and her Pilot Wave producing partner Jaron Varsano, Bonnie Curtis, and Julie Lynn. Skydance Media is keeping options open on whether this will be a theatrical or streaming bow.

This is another huge get for Gal Gadot who is leading the Wonder Woman franchise and is said to have gotten a nice backend deal, along with director Patty Jenkins, when Wonder Woman 1984 made the move to HBO Max for a one month bow beginning on Christmas Day, along with its theatrical rollout in theaters that have reopened amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Gadot will next star in the Kenneth Branagh-directed Death on the Nile and she also recently wrapped Red Notice for Netflix, the Rawson Thurber Marshall-directed heist drama she stars in with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. If she wasn’t busy enough, she’ll be reteaming with Jenkins on Cleopatra, with a script by Laeta Kalogridis from a story that was concocted by Gadot.
