Lizzy Caplan is in talks to join Marvel’s Gambit movie as the female lead. Of course, details of her role are being kept largely under wraps.
The X-Men spin-off stars Channing Tatum as Gambit, the popular ragin’ Cajun whose ability to control kinetic energy enables him to weaponize playing cards and other potential projectiles.
Director Gore Verbinski is at the helm of this project and it’s slated for a February 14, 2019 release.
Caplan is best known for her film roles in Mean Girls, Cloverfield, and Now You See Me 2. She is also one of the stars of the critically acclaimed Showtime series, Masters of Sex which ran from 2013-2016. Her role on that show lead to an Emmy nomination for the young actress and she can next be seen in The Disaster Artist.
