After the electrifying finale of The Mandalorian, Disney Plus has revealed the first details around its spinoff series, The Book of Boba Fett.

On Monday, executive producer Jon Favreau confirmed the new show that will star Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen, who plays bounty hunter Fennec Shand. The series will be executive produced by Favreau and Dave Filoni, along with director Robert Rodriguez, who directed Chapter 14 of Season 2.

The Book of Boba Fett will also be set within the timeline of The Mandalorian and is currently in production and is set to premiere in December 2021. With no confirmation on the production of season 3, the spinoff will come out well before season 3 of The Mandalorian.

Other previously announced spinoffs include “Ahsoka,”  and “Rangers of the New Republic.”
