M. Night Shyamalan’s Old Is New At The Box-Office

What’s old is new again at the box office as M. Night Shyamalan’s new film Old took the top spot with an estimated opening of $16.5 million.

Despite taking the top spot, the film is the lowest-grossing domestic opening for Shyamalan in his career. Shyamalan’s previous two movies, the Split & Glass each opened to $40 million.

Coming in second place is the latest attempt to jumpstart the G.I Joe franchise as Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins opened wit a disappointing 13.3 million dollar opening. In comparison, G.I Joe: Rose of Cobra opened with $54.7 million in 2009 while its sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation opened  with $40.5 million in 2013.
