David Harbour Set For Black Widow Movie While Rachel Weisz Circles Key Role

The Black Widow standalone film featuring Scarlett Johansson is building its supporting cast. David Harbour has been set for a role in the film and Rachel Weisz is also in talks to join the project.

Not much is known about the film’s plot or who Harbour will be playing but it will focus on Johansson’s Russian spy-turned-Avenger Natasha Romanoff who was first introduced in 2010’s Iron Man 2.

Cate Shortland is at the helm of Marvel’s second female superhero film after Captain Marvel. Also, while Rachel Weisz is circling the project, no formal negotiations have begun with the actress but interest is high for her to join in a key role.

David Harbour can be seen next in another comic book property, Hellboy, & has the third season of Stranger Things on deck for July. Rachel Weisz is fresh off her Oscar-nominated turn in The Favourite.
