Crazy Rich Asians Inspired Comedy in the Works at ABC

One of 2018’s biggest box office surprises has been Crazy Rich Asians. The film has grossed over 100 million dollars domestically and is a critical hit among most outlets.

ABC is set to release an untitled comedy from writer Jessica Gao. Jon N. Chu states,

“There are [Asian-centric] projects in development right now, but they’re not going to greenlight these things unless our movie does well. If our movie does well, four projects will go into production or at least get greenlighted within three weeks. If it doesn’t, they’re going to be in unknown states, and that’s scary,”

No word of when the show will premiere.
