Two Oscar winners are ready to jump back into the high-octane world of The Fast & The Furious. It has been announced that Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren will be returning for Fast & Furious 9.
Vin Diesel, who has been giving filming updates via his Instagram page, confirmed the news via a new post. He did something similar last week when he showed himself on set with Jordana Brewster, confirming her return in some capacity as his sister Mia. Here is the post below:
In 2017’s The Fate of the Furious, Theron took on the villain role of Cipher, a cyberterrorist who forced Dom (Diesel) to betray his family and work for her. Mirren, who is a self-proclaimed fan of the franchise, made a cameo appearance as Magdalene Shaw, the mother of Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) and Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). It’s also being reported that Mirren will reprise her role in the upcoming Fast spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw.
