The Fast & Furious spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson & Jason Statham just got a bit of class. Idris Elba has been cast as the villain in Hobbs & Shaw.

David Leitch directs off franchise scribe and producer Chris Morgan’s script. Before July 4, Vanessa Kirby was announced as part of the film, playing Statham’s sister.

No word on his specific character details but this seems to be a big get for the spinoff which allows Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Shaw to take center stage after playing supporting roles in the more recent Fast & Furious sequels.
