Boss Baby Sequel Movies To September 2021

As the year shifts to 2021, some of the years releases have already begun to shift dates. Universal announced Monday that DreamWorks Animation’s sequel The Boss Baby: Family Business is pushing back its release date in theaters from March 26, 2021, to Sept. 17, 2021.

It seems as though the studio is not confident that the theater industry will be booming in March and has moved the film to the fall date.  Boss Baby 2 reunites director Tom McGrath and voice star Alec Baldwin. Lisa Kudrow and Jimmy Kimmel also reprise their roles as Ted and Tim’s parents. Joining the voice cast for the sequel are James Mardsen, Eva Longoria, Ariana Greenblatt, Amy Sedaris, and Jeff Goldblum.

The original Boss Baby, released in 2017  and was a sleeper hit at the box office, grossing north of $500 million worldwide.
