BH90210 Scores Solid Ratings On Wednesday Night

The meta reboot on Beverly Hills: 90210 premiered last night and nostalgia wins again as it scored solid ratings for Fox.

The premiere of Fox’s revival, so to speak, of Aaron Spelling’s series, now dubbed BH90210, was Wednesday’s top-rated show with a 1.5 in the adults 18-49 demo and 3.84 million viewers. While CBS’ Big Brother topped the show in total viewers (3.93 million) BH90210 was a clear winner in the demo that matters (Big Brother scored a 1.1 demo number for the night).

The show is being pegged as an “event series” but during their TCA press tour, the possibility for future seasons could play out if the ratings are there:

“We would love to continue to work together. It’s been such an amazing experience. I liken it to high school when you think oh you never get a chance to do a do-over and there are things that you know now that you didn’t know then that you would’ve done differently and we get that opportunity…We have so many stories to tell and this could keep going season after season so we hope it does.” – Tori Spelling

The six-episode reboot is inspired by the real lives and relationships of the original stars, who play fictionalized versions of themselves. The returning stars include Gabrielle Carteris, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, and Ian Ziering.
