USA Network has released the first season 2 promo for The Purge and it looks like everyone is getting ready for their one night of lawless mayhem.
The short teaser features a montage of shots of people getting ready to endure the upcoming 12 hours of lawlessness and bloodshed. Not much is revealed but if you’re a fan of the franchise, you know what to expect.
Based on the hit movie franchise from Blumhouse Productions, The Purge revolves around a 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. Set in an altered America ruled by a totalitarian political party, the series follows several seemingly unrelated characters living in a small city. As the clock winds down, each character is forced to reckon with their past as they discover how far they will go to survive the night.
The series stars Gabriel Chavarria, Hannah Anderson, Jessica Garza, Lili Simmons, Amanda Warren, Colin Woodell, and Lee Tergesen and is written and executive produced by the film franchise creator James DeMonaco.
Season 2 of The Purge premieres this fall.
