Arrow Returns Steady For The CW On Tuesday

Arrow returned for its eighth and final season premiere last night on The CW and was steady with its overall average from last season.

On The CW, the final season premiere of Arrow grabbed a 0.3 demo rating with 869,000 viewers, on par with its averages last season. The Flash began the night for the network and slipped one-tenth from its season premiere’s 0.6 rating last week to a 0.5 demo score and 1.28 million viewers.

On NBC, This Is Us took its typical crown as king of Tuesday night ratings with a 1.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.71 million viewers, down a tick from its 1.6 rating and 7.25 million viewer audience last week. The Voice lead into This Is Us and scored a 1.3 demo score and 7.59 million viewers, down two-tenths from last week. New Amsterdam ended the night with another 0.8 demo rating and 4.98 million viewers.

On ABC, The Conners (1.1, 5.44 million viewers), mixed-ish (0.7, 2.80 million viewers), and Emergence (0.5, 2.70 million viewers) all posted the same ratings that they did last Tuesday as well, but the same could not be said for black-ish (0.6, 2.61 million viewers) and Bless This Mess (0.7, 3.41 million viewers), both of which fell a tenth week-to-week.

On Fox, both The Resident (0.7, 3.70 million viewers) and Empire (0.8, 2.79 million viewers) were both steady with last week’s numbers for the network.

On CBS, NCIS (1.1, 10.61 million viewers) and NCIS: New Orleans (0.7, 6.62 million viewers) both held steady with their last outings, with the former raking in the night’s largest audience yet again (10.61 million viewers). FBI, however, managed a small uptick in the 9:00 PM hour, rising from its previous episode’s 0.8 rating to a 0.9 demo score and 8.71 million viewers this week.

Tuesday ratings recap brings a steady night for The CW and another impressive run for the CBS procedurals on the network. On ABC, since it has stayed steady for weeks, I think mixed-ish has a shot to earn a full-season pickup soon. Good to see Emergence stop its bleeding but I still feel the demo score is too low, although it’s doing decently in delayed viewing.
