The Batman Moves To 2022 While Warner’s Shifts Other DC Titles & The Matrix 4

After The Batman trailer broke the internet in July at DC Fandome, fans were highly anticipating the release of the film in October 2021. However, unfortunately, cinephiles will have to wait a bit longer. In another major release calendar overhaul, Warner Bros. not only delayed The Batman, but other films in the DC universe.

The Batman is now set to open March 4, 2022. Other DC films including The Flash vacated its June 3, 2022 slot and moved to Nov. 4, 2022, while Shazam 2 will open on June 2, 2023 instead of its original Nov. 4, 2022 date.

Finally, Black Adam has been taken off the release calendar entirely

A film that saw a shift in release date in the right direction is Lana Wachowski-directed “Matrix 4” bowing several months earlier than expected. It had been set to open on April 1, 2022 and will now debut on Dec. 22, 2021.

As Warners continues to shift its line-up, I fully expect for Wonder Woman to shift from its December 25th date very soon.
