Anthony Mackie Closes Deal To Return For Captain America 4

When it came to Anthony Mackie returning as Captain America, it was only a question of when not if.  Then when is yesterday as Anthony Mackie has just locked in a deal to headline the fourth feature film in the Captain America franchise.

While plot details are unconfirmed but according to Deadline, the working title of the project is Captain America 4. This will likely mean that the film will continue plot threads started in the trilogy already opened in the previous three films as well as open plot lines from the 2021 Disney+ series.

No director is currently in place but Captain America 4 is being scripted by The Falcon and The Winter Soldier showrunner Malcolm Spellman.
