Paramount Pictures is bringing Clifford The Big Red Dog to the big screen with Justin Malen, writing the script for the film that’s set to be a live-action/CG hybrid. Paramount picked up the film after Universal Pictures let the option lapse.
Based on the beloved children’s book series by Norman Bridwell, Clifford The Big Red Dog is set to follow the adventures of Emily Elizabeth, a young girl who gets a red puppy for her birthday that grows to an unusual size of 25 feet tall. It was later adapted into an animated PBS series.
