Coming Soon: Strike: The Cuckoo’s Calling on BBC

Coming soon to BBC One is an adaptation to J.K. Rowling’s The Cuckoo‘s Calling. The novel was published in 2013 under her pseudonym, Robert Galbraith, and centers around detective Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke), a troubled war veteran, and his assistant, a young woman named Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger) as they investigate a supposed suicide.

BBC One will be adapting all three of the Cormoran Strike novels into a seven-part television adaptation called Strike. The first three episodes are based on The Cuckoo’s CallingStrike premieres on August 27th.
