After pushing back deadlines due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Emmy Awards are back on track as the nominations were announced on Tuesday.
The nominations were revealed on the Emmys’ website and Facebook and YouTube accounts. Leslie Jones hosted the virtual reveal of the nominees, where she was joined by Laverne Cox, Josh Gad, Tatiana Maslany, and Television Academy CEO Frank Scherma.

The 72nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards has not shifted from its original date, despite the postponing and delays of other Hollywood events including next year’s Golden Globes ceremony and the 2021 Academy Awards.
Jimmy Kimmel is set to produce and host the 2020 Emmys, airing September 20th at 8:00 PM on ABC.
