Efforts To Find Third Home For One Day At A Time Fail

In somber news, efforts to find a third home for the beloved One Day at a Time have come to an end and there will be no fifth season of the former Netflix and Pop comedy, confirmed by co-showrunners Gloria Calderon Kellett and Mike Royce. Calderon Kellett stated,

“It’s officially over. There will be no new One Day at a Time episodes,”

“But there will always be 46 episodes that we got to make that live forever.” Added Royce: “I wish we could say otherwise, but sadly, ODAAT‘s time has come to an end.”

The news comes a few weeks after ViacomCBS, opted out of picking up the show for a fifth season after contract negotiations fell short after Netflix would have had to sign off on a rival streamer reviving the series starring Justina Machado and Rita Moreno.
