You Renewed For Season 3 At Netflix

Joe’s stalking days are far from over. Netflix has officially announced that You has been renewed for a third season and Penn Badgley’s Joe isn’t the only season 2 regular returning.

Victoria Pedretti is also returning Love Quinn. Pedretti began as the female lead during this current season, replacing Elizabeth Lail from season one. I won’t give away much else for those who haven’t finished season two but let’s say season three can definitely go in some interesting directions.

The season three renewal comes fairly quickly after the debut of season 2 which launched on December 26. With the renewal, it was also announced that it will consist of 10 episodes but we’ll have to wait a while to see it as the popular series won’t return until some time in 2021. That’s one hell of a wait for fans who clearly can’t get enough of the binge-worthy show that has become one of the most popular shows on Netflix.

You launched in 2018 as a Lifetime original series and was renewed for a second season ahead of its debut, largely in part due to tax incentives that saw the production relocate from New York to Los Angeles. The series then scored a lucrative SVOD deal with Netflix, which offset its cost to Lifetime. The show never really found its footing on Lifetime but it was well-received by critics and it was ultimately decided to move the show over to the streamer which is where it truly took off. In its first four weeks on Netflix, You was on pace to be watched by 40 million member households.
