WWE Smackdown Continues To Slip But Still Tops Demo On Friday Night On Fox

WWE Smackdown saw another decline on Friday and although it still stopped Friday night in the demo, it’s getting closer and closer to relinquishing that crown and giving it back to CBS.

On Fox, WWE Friday Night Smackdown landed a 0.7 in the demo with 2.42 million viewers, outranking all of its competition, but this was down from the 1.0 with 2.44 million viewers of last week. In the three weeks it has been on the air, the show has seen a 0.7 drop-off in its ratings.

On CBS, the network placed a close second with Hawaii Five-O hitting a 0.6 demo rating and 6.34 million viewers, a decrease of one-tenth of a point week-to-week. As with last Friday, it had the night’s second-largest audience, though there was a noticeable decline between its previous 7.09 million viewers and its most recent 6.34 million. Magnum P.I. also fell one-tenth of a point from 0.6 to 0.5 demo rating and 5.79 million viewers, while Blue Bloods held at the 0.6 demo score and 7.44 million viewers it ticked down to in last week’s finals.

On ABC, American Housewife racked up a 0.6 rating in adults 18-49, with a viewership of 3.32 million. While not exactly the strongest performance of the night, this was notably better than last week, when it stalled at a 0.5 demo rating. Directly on its heels, Fresh Off the Boat recovered from a few weeks of losses by rising from 0.3 to 0.5 demo rating and 2.46 million viewers.

On NBC, The Blacklist stumbled from a 0.5 demo rating to a 0.4 demo score and 3.57 million viewers.

On The CW, Charmed remained steady with its premiere, retaining a 0.2 but increasing in viewership from 649,000 viewers to 730,000 viewers. Dynasty brought up the rear with the weakest score of the night, clutching to its 0.1 demo score and 410,000 viewers. That international presence sure must be great for The CW to deal with numbers like this from Dynasty after three seasons.

Recapping Friday ratings, I wonder if WWE Smackdown will continue to bleed in the demo? It’s still leading Friday nights but I wouldn’t be surprised if CBS wasn’t back on top soon.
