WWE Smackdown Continues To Lead Friday Night, Stays Steady In Demo For Fox

Perhaps WWE Smackdown has finally found where it will level off in terms of its demo rating. Smackdown returned Friday after taking a small break due to the World Series and it lead Friday night in the demo across all networks for the night.

On Fox, Smackdown returned Friday with a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and an average of 2.54 million viewers. This was about even with the WWE wrestling broadcast’s last performance, in the week preceding the World Series, when it was watched by 2.44 million viewers.

On CBS, the network continues to place second on the night with Hawaii Five-O scoring a 0.7 demo rating and 6.91 million viewers, consistent with its recent gains. This made it once again the strongest scripted original in the demo, while Blue Bloods maintained its fifth straight 0.6 demo score and garnered 7.59 million viewers, the latter number outpacing anything else on primetime. Magnum P.I., which is sandwiched comfortably between the two shows, was stable once again at a 0.6 demo score and 6.40 million viewers.

On ABC, American Housewife improved after several 0.6’s, rising to a 0.7 demo rating with 3.78 million viewers. On its tail, Fresh Off the Boat failed to capitalize on the gains of its lead-in and remained stagnant at a 0.5 demo rating and 2.53 million viewers.

On The CW, their shows were steady as a rock with Charmed remaining at a 0.2 demo score and 690,000 viewers while Dynasty remained at its usual 0.1 demo rating and 360,000 viewers.

On NBC, The Blacklist continued a streak of upticks and climbed from a 0.5 to a 0.6 demo rating and 3.90 million viewers.
