Fresh Off The Boat Renewed For Season Five At ABC

The Huangs’ will get to continue their American dream. ABC has renewed Fresh Off The Boat for a fifth season.

The series premiered in 2015 as the first Asian-American family comedy on TV in two decades. It has aired in various slots on Tuesday night, most recently at 8:30 PM this past fourth season, which wrapped on March 20, averaging a 1.3 adults 18-49 Live+7 rating. Fans of the show pretty much follow it wherever it goes and the show has remained a steady performer since its start.

Fresh Off the Boat follows the Huang family — Mom, Dad, three young brothers and their Mandarin-speaking grandma — who move from Washington, D.C., to Orlando in the mid-1990s. Constance Wu and Randall Park are the parents of rap-loving high schooler Eddie (Hudson Yang) and his younger sibs Emery (Forrest Wheeler) and Evan (Ian Chen). Jenny Huang is the wheelchair-bound grandma who always knows more than she lets on.
