Westworld Renewed for Season 3

The second season of Westworld recently premiere on HBO and the series received some great news regarding its future. HBO has renewed the sci-fi drama for a third season.

While the show has been renewed for a third season, the time frame for when season three will return has yet to be determined after the show took more than a year between seasons so showrunners Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan could complete writing the complex second season of the series. Casey Bloys stated,

“It’s been an extraordinary pleasure to work with the exceptionally talented Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, as well as their gifted cast and crew,”  “From the inspired storytelling to the incredible visuals, we are so excited to see where the next chapter will take us.”

The show averaged around  3 million viewers across multiple platforms (including HBO Go and HBO Now), which is key as this series is set to be the networks top show after Game of Thrones concludes.
