In what could be a telling sign of where the Adapted Screenplay nominations will be heading, the USC Libraries announced their nominees for the 34th annual USC Scripter Awards. The awards honor the best adapted screenplays of the year in both film and TV.
Netflix was able to grab 4 nominations, three in film alone. Television had 5 different networks streamers receiving a nomination a piece.
Along with being nominated for The Underground Railroad, Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins will receive the USC Libraries Literary Achievement Award.

The USC Libraries is currently scheduled to announce the winners on Saturday, February 26, 2022, in the Edward L. Doheny Jr. Memorial Library at the University of Southern California.
