The Godfather is widely considered one of the greatest films ever made. While the film should never be remade, Paramount+’s series on the making of the classic is welcomed. The ten-part limited-series slated to debut on Paramount+, ViacomCBS’ upcoming streaming service which will be a rebrand of CBS All Access, and Deadline has reported on one of the leads of the series.
Armie Hammer will play the film’s producer Al Ruddy in The Offer, which will be based on Ruddy’s “never before revealed experiences” of making the iconic film. The Offer will be written and executive produced by Michael Tolkin (Escape at Dannemora), with the real-life Al Ruddy also serving as an executive producer alongside Nikki Toscano (Hunters) and Leslie Greif (Hatfields & McCoys).
Along with this news regarding The Offer, Armie Hammer will next be seen in Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile alongside Gal Gadot.
