Universal Eyes New Dracula Film in the Works As It Remakes Its Monsterverse

After the success of The Invisible ManUniversal is taking steps to revive its classic Monsterverse for the big screen. However, unlike the Dark Universe, these films will be stand-alone and not focus on establishing a universe. Along with the focus on stand-alone films, Universal is also setting a moderately budgets.

The next extra will bring Dracula to the big screen once again in a film that will be directed by Karyn Kusama. The news that was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed that Jason Blum’s Blumhouse, which brought The Invisible Man to theaters for only $7 million, is in the midst of setting up the upcoming film.

No word on what the premise of the film will be as of this writing.
