Netflix has dropped a teaser trailer & date announcement for the second season of The Punisher & it’s just around the corner.
Season 2 of The Punisher will return on January 18 on the streaming service. The new season finds The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), as a nomad living on borrowed time. He has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl. As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Frank Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace life as The Punisher.
Running on borrowed time could also describe the real-life fate of the series down the road. Netflix has pulled the plug on three of its Marvel shows (Daredevil, Luke Cage, & Iron Fist) & all signs point to The Punisher (& other Marvel survivor, Jessica Jones) being next on the chopping block soon after they premiere their new seasons.
